Chapter 1 Five years later:

Sara don’t forget your bag and boots. Yells mom.
Don’t worry I have everything my boots, my bag, and my books. I yell back.
Ajax are you ready to go as will? Dad says.
I’m on my way just need to get my axe and bag. He says back.
In a family of Thousen at the age of 19 the children have to set out and find their own adventure. Really “adventure” means finding a mate to settle down with and raise a family of their own, but for humans we have our whole life to find someone to settle down with so at the age of 19 we join the army or take over our parent’s job. My dad was a Noble, someone how ruled over the land under the King. I can’t take my dad’s position in till  I’m 25.

Ajax runs down the stairs with his axe on his back and his bag wrapped around his left arm. Ready, let’s head out. He says.
Before you go Sara I want to give you something. Mom says.
What is it? I ask.
You remember that sword that you held your first day here, well I want you to have it. She says.
I can’t take that sword it’s special to you. I say. She put the sword in the sheath and hands it to me.
This sword is special, but not to me. She says. You see when I was younger our village was attacked, this was about 40 years ago, bandits made up of Humans and Thousen tried to enslave use, but a group of the male Thousen would  not stand for it, so  they fought. The battle dragged on for days, but we couldn’t hold out any longer after all the males died or were enslaved we were going to give up and let them take us, as the bandits started to round up our families I see a bandit fall to the ground with a arrow in his back. Everyone including the bandits just stood there for what felt like hours, in till one of the bandits yelled in the direction of the arrow and waited for an answer, and the answer was met with a sword in his back, the same sword you hold now. I look at the sword and ask what happened next. Well, after the body fall to the ground we saw the person that shot the arrow, to me it look like a 5 or 6 year old Arctic Fox Thousen even sounded like a child when he talked, my mother later told me that he was a Lunarn. He wear a black coat with a hood, the coat went down to his thighs and he wore loose fitting pants with a big belt wrapped around him, but had no shoes or boots on. He looked at me and started to walk over, he reached his hand out, but he gets cut off by some of the bandits, after hours of fighting the bandits lie dead and only their leader was left, his name was Hel. The Lunarn dragged Hel over to use and forced him to his knees to his level and held his sword up to his neck. I would never forget the words he said.
If anyone here thinks that I shouldn’t kill this man speak up. He said. I looked around and saw everyone in fear, I didn’t know if it was from the shock of the attack or the choice we had. The Lunarn raised his sword, so I closed my eyes and just then I heard someone yell stop. I looked up at the Lunarn and he was look at me, I was the one that yelled stop, and he did. He asked me if I was sure, and I said yes and so did everyone else. He cut the binds on Hel and sent him on his way. After a few hours of cleaning up what was left of the village, the Lunarn walked up to me and wanted to talk. I didn’t know how short he really was to me so I knelt down to listen to what he wanted to say.
You where very brave little mouse, I’m glad you stood up for that man even if he would have sold you into slavery. He said. I told him that it was the right thing to do, and that I wasn’t a mouse and that I was a wolf Thousen. He laughed and started talking again.
What is your name little mou--- my wolf friend? He asked. I told him my name was Maya, Maya White-fur. Well Maya, like I said you are very brave, brave than any other soul I’ve met. I want to give you my sword as a token to your bravery. The sword had a clear gem on the top of it. He said that it will glow purple in his presents, but glows blue in the presents of a brave fighter like me. I thanked him for the gift and kissed him on his cheek, he started to blush so hard that his arctic white fur, started to turn red but he brushed it off and turned his head. Later that same day he walked to the entrance of the village and turned around to wave goodbye. That was the last time I saw him or any other Lunarn again.
Wow mom that was a great story. Says Ajax.
Yea it was a great story, but I don’t think that I should take the sword it means so much to you and has a history. I say.
I have no more use for the sword, and something tells me that you’ll be needing this sword more than me. She says. I look down at the sword in my hand and hold it closely.
Alright I’ll take it, and I swear to do to right thing when I wield it mom. I say. As Ajax and I walk out the door I look up at the sky and close my eyes. Know it’s my turn to make my own history, and find out what happened to my father.
This is going to get all tips of weird you have been warned lol.
